BY ROAD: follow brown and white tourist board signs bearing a horse and rider and the words “Gosforth Park” from A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city.
BY RAIL: Newcastle Central Station is 15 minutes by taxi from Newcastle Racecourse and is also linked to the Metro System. On racedays free buses run from Four Lane Ends and Regent Centre Metro Stations for 1 ½ hours before racing and 1 hour after.
BY AIR: Newcastle International Airport is ten minutes by taxi from Newcastle Racecourse. Helicopters may land at the course with prior permission from the Racecourse Management and Air Traffic Control.

A comprehensive cleaning service is included, however organisers must undertake to provide, at their own cost, disposal of waste generated by contractors and exhibitors.
There is an extensive range of conference and banqueting facilities available. Rooms should be booked through the racecourse office.
It is the organiser’s responsibility to leave the premises as found and any damages will be charged for any damage which has occurred during their event.
Newcastle Racecourse offers disabled access for all visitors, including lifts, toilets, ramps and braille signage.
Fire extinguishers will be supplied at various marked fire points.
Any organiser wishing to use fireworks must seek prior permission from the events department as licenses may be required.
The organiser is responsible for the provision of adequate first aid cover for any event.

There are a limited number of chairs and tables available for hire, additional supplies can be hired, please ask the events office for details.
We have duties under the Health and Safety Act 1974 and our own Health and Safety guidelines to use our best endeavours to ensure that work carried out on our premises is done with proper regard to safety. It is therefore important that organisers, staff and sub-contractors working on the site carry out their work in a safe manner and comply with any safety requests.
There is a facility for landing a helicopter with prior permission from the racecourse management and air traffic control at Newcastle International Airport.
Newcastle Racecourse has agreed preferential rates with many local hotels; the events team would be pleased to assist you with any reservations.
It is the organiser’s responsibility to ensure adequate insurance cover in respect of damage to Newcastle Racecourse facilities, and legal liabilities to employees and other third parties in connection with the event. Cover should not be for less than £10m.
Copies of insurance certificates must be given to the events team prior to the event.
Parklands Golf Complex is located within High Gosforth Park Estate. This comprises 18-hole golf course, pitch & Putt, 45-bay floodlit driving range and extensive club house facilities.

Newcastle Racecourse boasts 812 acres of parkland, offering lawned and hard standing areas.

These may be hired from Newcastle Racecourse.
All security arrangements must be agreed by Newcastle Racecourse and must involve our resident security company.
Several sign locations are available to organisers. Please discuss these with the events team and note that no signs or fly posting of any kind is permitted in other areas.
