CALENDAR HIGHLIGHTS

Home to 30 race meetings (fixture list), spanning both the Flat & National Hunt Seasons, Newcastle Racecourse also boasts two 18-hole golf courses, a driving range, nature reserve, public house and superb conference & banqueting facilities.

2008 highlights include:

  • 29th November: WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle
    The Fighting Fifth Hurdle, in association with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers is the highlight of the National Hunt Season at Newcastle Racecourse. Champion hurdlers from across the UK and Ireland will race to win the Triple Crown and the £1million bonus. We are dedicating this day to our armed forces with military displays and music to add to the atmosphere.

  • Saturday 20th December: Christmas Market Hurdle
    The Christmas Market Hurdle Raceday is a unique and fantastic way to celebrate Christmas with friends and family, or even with colleagues as an alternative to the traditional night out.
    It’s an ideal opportunity to sample our superb raceday hospitality as we are offering a Carvery package for just £50(+ vat). Who wants to be doing last minute shopping when you could be watching the thrills and spills of jumps racing, all viewed from the comfort of our panoramic restaurant. There’s even the chance to pick up some last minute stocking fillers at our Christmas market stalls.
    Price includes Premier Enclosure entry, racecard, 3 course Carvery Lunch, and reserved seating in the restaurant. Standard entry to the Premier Enclosure is £18, or Grandstand & Paddock is £13, with discount for groups when booked in advance.
    Don’t forget children under 16 go free to all race meetings at Newcastle.
