Follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing the horse and ride from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city. Newcastle Racecourse is on the outskirts of Gosforth adjacent to The Marriott Hotel.
Car Parking is free of charge. Please allow extra time in traveling to The Racecourse.
A traffic management system is in place for Ladies Day, please ensure you follow the yellow traffic signs that are in place on the entry roads. Hospitality guests are advised to enter from the West Gate near the Marriott Hotel.
Admission guests should enter via the East Gate next to Peter Barratts. Please note the West Gate is not suitable for stretch limousines. Entry for all stretch limousines is by the East Gate only.
We are expecting a high level of traffic through High Gosforth Park so it is advisable to arrive in plenty of time before the first race.
We have a FREE shuttle bus service runs to the Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends Metro Stations from approximately two hours prior to the first race up to the first race. and then starts again after the last race at 5.20pm.
If traveling by helicopter please contact the Racecourse Office on 0191 236 2020 Newcastle International Airport is situated 6 miles from Newcastle Racecourse.
From Newcastle City Centre from Haymarket, Monument or Newcastle Central Metro Stations you can take the Metro, along the airport line to Regent Centre Metro Station. You will then need to take a bus from Regent Centre Metro Station to Newcastle Racecourse.
BY TAXI FROM NEWCASTLE CITY CENTRE
There is a taxi rank outside Newcastle Central Station. A Taxi journey should take around 15-30 minutes to Newcastle Racecourse.

Picnics are ONLY allowed in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure where we have a dedicated picnic area with tables and chairs provided. We will have staff on the day who can show you where this area is located. Please note: Alcoholic drinks are not allowed to be brought onto site. However, sealed soft drinks will be permitted. We will be operating bag searches and all alcohol will be confiscated.
We provide disabled parking spaces and ramped access to each public Enclosure. Disabled toilets are available in both the Premier and Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
