Newcastle Racecourse is a Grade 1 dual code track. Highlights of the 2018 racing calendar include the Eider Chase in February, the recently added Good Friday fixture, the historic Northumberland Plate Festival at the end of June, the fabulous Ladies Day in late July, the Fighting Fifth Hurdle in December, and a host of thrilling jumps and all-weather fixtures in between.
Recently the racecourse has had over £11million worth of investment, improving the facilities for guests and building an all-weather Tapeta track on the outer of the jumps track. This new all-weather track currently stands as the only floodlit all-weather straight mile in the world.
