Border Minstrel Pub

Refurbished in 2016, the Border Minstrel is not only the perfect pub for families and friends to gather, but also dog friendly, accommodating many of the dog walkers of High Gosforth Park.

The Grounds

Nestled in the grounds of High Gosforth Park, the Border Minstrel is perfectly positioned for the best of town and country. Steeped in history, the pub is named in honour of the 1927 Pitmen’s Derby winner at Newcastle Racecourse.

Open 7 days a week, there's plenty of opportunity to pop in to the Border Minstrel.

From the weekly quiz night on Wednesdays to live music evenings throughout the year and live sport on all screens, there's always something happening at the pub in the park.

The Food & Drink

Discover real ales, fine wines and hearty seasonal pub food on the Border Minstrel menu. Food served till 8pm Monday - Saturday.

The region's favourite carvery is available Sunday's from 12noon - 5pm.
