Venue Accessibility

Accessibility At Newcastle Races

We aim to provide an accessible and easy environment for all of our guests. From accessible parking near the turnstiles to free tickets for personal assistants of paying guests with accessible needs, we try to make a day out at Newcastle Racecourse as easy as possible.

This also includes:

  • Large lifts to all floors
  • A dedicated viewing area overlooking the Parade Ring and Finish Line
  • Accessible toilet facilities throughout the venue
  • Induction loop in the concessions in the Grandstand Hall

We welcome mobility scooters and chairs, although we do ask visitors to be mindful of other guests.

Registered guide dogs, hearing dogs and medical alert dogs are welcome on-site. Please ensure they are always kept on the lead. We provide water bowls at the Border Minstrel Pub located next to the Brandling House Entrance.

All racecourse staff are on hand to offer assistance before and during your visit. Please speak to one of our stewards or security team if you need assistance on the day or alternatively, if you are able to, you can come to the Racecourse Office which is opposite the Owners and Trainers car park.
