Established in 1952, the Eider Chase takes place in February each year at Newcastle Racecourse. The National Hunt race features 26 fences over 4 miles and half a furlong, and is considered a trial for the Grand National.

The most recent winners include Crosspark in 2019 (pictured), ridden by Jamie Moore and trained by Caroline Bailey. Baywing won in 2018, Mysteree in 2017 and Rocking Blues in 2016.
