One of our region’s biggest and best events is returning to High Gosforth Park this spring. You’ve guessed it, the Children’s Cancer Run is coming back to Newcastle Racecourse on Sunday 17 May – and you can be part of it!
The Children’s Cancer Run is an annual cross country fun run and activity day that raises money to help make life better for children with cancer. It’s organised by local charity Children’s Cancer North who provide support to children, young people, and their families affected by childhood cancer across the North East and Cumbria.
It’s a great day out for all the family, and with three different runs to choose from there’s something to suit everyone – 1km Mini Run, three or five mile routes. Plus there’s lots of food, activities and entertainment to enjoy in our Event Village!
Everyone that takes part receives a Children’s Cancer Run finishers medal and a special snack pack from event supporter, Greggs. Runners aged 16 and under can also request a free Children’s Cancer Run t-shirt when booking their place and adult t-shirts are also available.
Tickets are available to purchase online at £45 for a family entry (2 adults and up to 3 children), with single entry tickets priced at £16 for adults and £9 for children. And don’t forget to check if your school has signed up so you can join their team!
