Start the weekend with an afternoon of horse racing in July at Newcastle Racecourse. Friday brings all-weather flat racing, trackside action and an easy excuse to get friends or family together for a summer afternoon out.
Newcastle’s all-weather racing continues throughout the year, and July is a great time to catch it up close. Head to the parade ring to see the horses before they race, then make your way towards the rail for the action.
There’s nothing quite like hearing the hooves as the horses charge past. Find your spot trackside or watch from the Grandstand, grab some food and a drink and settle in for the afternoon.
It works just as well for regular racegoers as it does for a first trip to Newcastle Racecourse. Finish work for the week, get the group together and start your weekend at the races.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
