Get your friends together and start the weekend early with horse racing in January at Newcastle Racecourse. Friday afternoon brings all-weather flat racing and a good excuse to swap the usual routine for a few hours trackside.
There’s something good about getting the weekend started before Friday evening. Head to the parade ring to see the horses up close, then find your spot by the rail as the action gets going.
From there, you’ll hear the hooves building as the horses head towards the finish. Bring your mates, wrap up warm and make an afternoon of it.
Our all-weather track keeps the racing going throughout the seasons. Flat racing moves quickly, with plenty to follow from the moment the horses set off to the final push for the line.
January afternoons can be chilly, so get a hot drink in your hands and head trackside. You’ll soon forget about the cold when the horses come thundering past.
Book early online to SAVE or buy tickets at the gate on the day.
