October gets off to a great start with floodlit horse racing at Newcastle Racecourse. Get your friends or family together for some all-weather flat racing under the lights and kick off your weekend with live sport at Gosforth Park.
The working week is done, so swap your usual Friday night plans for a trip to the races. Grab some food and a drink, catch up with your mates and enjoy the action with the whole weekend still ahead of you.
Before the racing gets under way, head to the parade ring to see the horses up close. Then find your spot by the rail and listen as the hooves come thundering past. Get behind your favourite as the horses charge towards the finishing line, then head towards the winner's enclosure to catch the celebrations.
As autumn settles in, October brings cooler air and darker skies to Newcastle. Wrap up warm, grab a hot drink and enjoy the racing as the floodlights shine across the course.
Our all-weather track keeps flat racing going throughout the year, whatever the autumn weather brings. Watch from the Grandstand or get closer to the action trackside. You don't need to know everything about racing to enjoy it. Just bring your group and get ready to cheer.
Make the most of advance booking savings by securing your tickets online before raceday. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate when you arrive.
