Friday Floodlit Flat Racing

Friday Floodlit Racing at Newcastle Racecourse 2027

Clock off and get the weekend started with floodlit horse racing in September at Newcastle Racecourse. Round up your mates or bring your colleagues along for all-weather flat racing under the lights, with plenty of action to kick off your weekend.

Friday under the floodlights

The working week is done, the floodlights are on and you've got the whole weekend ahead of you. What better excuse to get everyone together for some live racing?

Grab some food and a drink, then head to the parade ring to see the horses up close before making your way trackside. Hear the hooves thundering past as the horses pick up speed, then join the cheers as they charge towards the finishing line.

Find yourself a good spot by the rail and enjoy the action right in front of you.

September racing under the lights

As summer turns to autumn, September brings cooler air and the chance to enjoy some floodlit flat racing at Newcastle. Our all-weather track keeps the racing going throughout the year, whatever the weather brings.

Watch from the Grandstand or get right by the rail for a closer view. Bring your friends, family or colleagues, enjoy a drink between races and get your weekend off to a great start at Gosforth Park.
