Take a break from the December rush and spend your Monday afternoon at Newcastle Racecourse. With all-weather flat racing to enjoy, it’s a chance to get outdoors, meet up with friends or colleagues and add some live sport to the start of your week.
Leave the usual Monday behind for a few hours and get closer to the racing. See the horses in the parade ring before they head onto the track, then choose your view as the action gets underway.
Flat racing brings plenty of speed to a winter afternoon. Head down towards the rail to see just how quickly the horses travel past or watch from the Grandstand as each race unfolds.
With Christmas getting closer, a Monday at the races gives you a welcome change from shopping, planning and busy festive schedules. Grab some food and a drink, catch up with your group and enjoy an afternoon at your own pace.
Our all-weather track keeps the flat racing going through the winter, making Newcastle Racecourse a great place to enjoy horse racing in December.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
