Start the week with an evening at Newcastle Racecourse. Get your friends, family or workmates together for all-weather flat racing and make a bit more of your Monday this April.
Who says you have to wait until the weekend for a night out? Swap the usual Monday routine for live racing at Gosforth Park.
Grab a drink, find your spot and enjoy the build-up as the horses head onto the track. Then get behind your pick as they race down the home straight towards the finish.
There’s something good about having plans at the start of the week. Whether you’re catching up with friends, heading out with family or getting the work crowd together, an evening at the races gives you something different to do.
With spring underway and the evenings getting lighter, April is a great time to spend a few hours at Newcastle Racecourse.
Newcastle’s all-weather track brings plenty of speed to a Monday evening.
Head to the parade ring to see the horses before they race, then make your way trackside. Stand by the rail and hear the hooves as they charge past, or find a spot near the finishing line and join the cheers as they race for home.
Afterwards, head towards the winner’s enclosure and catch the reaction up close.
You don’t need to know everything about racing to enjoy a night at Newcastle. Pick your fancy, cheer them on and enjoy the evening with the people you came with.
It’s a simple way to get out of the house, break up the week and enjoy live sport right in front of you.
