Saturday Floodlit Flat Racing

Valentine's Floodlit Racing at Newcastle, 13 February 2027

Start Valentine's weekend a day early with floodlit flat racing at Newcastle Racecourse. Get your partner or favourite people together for some horse racing in February, with live sport under the lights and a Saturday night out that's a little different from the usual plans.

Start Valentine's weekend trackside

Valentine's Day might be tomorrow, but there's no need to wait to get together. Bring your other half, round up your mates or make it a group outing with friends.

Head to the parade ring to see the horses up close before finding your spot by the rail. Hear the hooves thundering past as the horses charge towards the finishing line, with the crowd cheering them home.

Wrap up warm, grab a drink and enjoy a Saturday at the races with your favourite people.

February racing under the lights

There's something special about floodlit racing on a winter Saturday. The lights shine across Newcastle's all-weather track, the February air is crisp and there's plenty of action to follow from trackside.

Flat racing brings plenty of speed, especially when you're standing close enough to hear the horses racing past. Catch up over a drink between races and enjoy a different way to celebrate Valentine's weekend, whether you're visiting as a couple or with friends.

Plan your Valentine's raceday

Make your Valentine's weekend plans early and save on admission by booking your tickets online in advance. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the gate on raceday.
