There’s something different about watching racing after dark. The floodlights are on, the horses are heading to the parade ring and you can get right by the rail as they come thundering towards the finish.
Wrap up warm and enjoy a winter Saturday night with friends. The darker January evenings only add to the sight of the racing under the lights.
Our all-weather track keeps Newcastle racing throughout the year and is home to the UK’s only straight mile on an all-weather track.
Flat racing moves quickly, and watching it from trackside gets you close to every bit of the action. Hear the hooves as the horses race past and follow them right through to the finish.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
