Make a night of it with friends or family. Grab some food and a drink, take a look at the horses in the parade ring and then head towards the track before the racing gets underway.
Find a spot by the rail and listen as the sound of hooves gets closer. When the horses charge past and the crowd finds its voice, you get a proper sense of the speed that’s difficult to appreciate from anywhere else.
With autumn giving way to winter, November evenings at Newcastle mean wrapping up warm and watching the action beneath the floodlights. Head down to the rail for a closer view or follow the racing from the Grandstand.
Our all-weather track keeps the flat racing going throughout the year, so darker nights don’t mean quieter weekends. Bring your mates along and spend part of your Saturday night cheering from trackside.
