Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with an afternoon at Newcastle Racecourse. Get your friends and family together for jump racing on the turf, with a bit of Irish spirit thrown in too.
Looking for St Patrick’s Day plans? Head to Gosforth Park on Saturday the 20th of March for an afternoon of racing and St Patrick’s celebrations.
Wear a touch of green, get the group together and enjoy the atmosphere around the racecourse. Alongside the racing, there’ll be live entertainment in between racing!
There’s plenty to see when the jumps take centre stage. Watch the horses in the parade ring before heading trackside, where you can hear the hooves and feel the pace as they race past and take on the fences.
Get a spot near the finish, cheer on your pick and then head towards the winner’s enclosure to catch the celebrations afterwards.
The racing is only part of the afternoon. We’ll be bringing some Irish spirit to Gosforth Park with entertainment which will be announced closer to the date.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
Concessions discounts are only available on the day.
