Tuesday Floodlit Flat Racing

Tuesday Floodlit Racing at Newcastle Racecourse 2027

Give your Tuesday a change of pace with floodlit horse racing in October at Newcastle Racecourse. Join us for all-weather flat racing under the lights and break up the working week with some live sport trackside.

Make more of your Tuesday

Tuesday doesn't have to be all work and no play. Round up a few friends or colleagues, grab some food and a drink and enjoy a few hours of live racing as the floodlights shine across the track.

Get a closer look at the horses in the parade ring before heading towards the rail. As the racing gets under way, you'll hear the hooves thundering past and the crowd getting louder as the horses close in on the finishing line. It's even better when you're standing right beside the action.

October racing under the lights

As autumn settles in, October brings cooler air and darker skies to Newcastle. Wrap up warm, grab a hot drink and enjoy the action from the Grandstand or get closer to the track by the rail.

Our all-weather track keeps flat racing going throughout the year, whatever the autumn weather brings. You don't need to be a racing expert to enjoy it. Bring your mates, pick a horse to cheer on and make a Tuesday night of it at Gosforth Park.
