As excitement builds, we are preparing for our highly anticipated Say When Ladies Day. This year’s event promises an even more exceptional blend of thrilling horse racing and luxury hospitality, all celebrated against a backdrop of the region's finest fashion
Before The Day
Newcastle Racecourse is located at High Gosforth Park, just 15 minutes from Newcastle city centre and is easily accessible by road and rail. We recommend allowing extra travel time as we welcome our biggest crowd of the year.
To help make your arrival as smooth as possible:
Have your tickets ready before reaching the entrance - e-tickets will be sent out via email 7 days ahead of the Raceday.
Arrive early to avoid queues and make the most of your day.
Check the dress code – make sure your outfit meets the requirements for the enclosure you are booked. Click here to find out more information.
Plan your journey in advance and check traffic updates before setting off – click here to read our Get Here page for full travel information
Check the weather – consider bringing your sun cream or your umbrella!
Drinks Offer
Start your raceday in style with our 50% Drinks Offer, for the first hour after gates open, racegoers can enjoy:
Up to 50% off selected soft drinks, lager, cider, bitter and Guinness
£10 off any bottle of House Wine, Prosecco or Champagne
£10 off any jug of Pimms*
Priority Entry – get ahead of the crowd!
Friday 24th July is your last chance to purchase a priority paddock or premier pass! For only £10 you can access the grandstand or the premier enclosure before the crowds. Pick out the best seats and get yourself settled before the crowds enter, but be quick as there is only a limited amount of passes available for each enclosure. If you have already bought your ticket, call the racecourse office on 0191 236 2020 to upgrade your ticket.
Bringing a Picnic?
Please note that picnics are only permitted in the Grandstand Enclosure.
You are welcome to bring your own food; however, only sealed bottles of water may be brought onto the racecourse. Please note that bag checks will be in place on the day.
If you have booked Premier tickets and are planning to bring a picnic, you will need to enjoy it within the Grandstand Enclosure before re-entering through the Premier Entrance.
Need a seat?
Please note that your admission ticket does not include a seat, and all unreserved seating is available on a first come, first served basis. If you'd like to guarantee yourself a seat, why not upgrade with one of our new Priority Passes? Available in both the Grandstand and Premier Enclosures, these passes provide access to a dedicated seating area. Numbers are strictly limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. To help us manage capacity and ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests, folding chairs are not permitted in the Premier Enclosure. Guests in the Grandstand Enclosure are welcome to bring folding chairs if they wish.
